We are currently focused on monthly workshops which encompass all birth ed classes in one. We are able to provide individualized classes on a need basis. Please contact us via email or phone to discuss your specific birth education needs.


Birth Education Workshop

This is a modified version of our birth education series covered in a one day workshop format. Recipients will receive loads of info and take home resources as well as a sweet little goodie bag as a thank you for attending !​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​​​​Space is extremely limited and registration is required to hold your spot.

This workshop is focused on the basics of labor and more importantly, on our ability to tune into ourselves to show up for ourselves in the process of birth. We will move our bodies, discuss embodiment practice, practice breathwork and meditation.

Class Details: This workshop is a full day event, approximately 5 hours.
When to take: Second trimester of your pregnancy depending on availability.
Investment: $225 This includes the pregnant person and up to two support persons.


Pregnancy Care & Nutrition

Self care in pregnancy is one of the most important things you can do to set yourself and baby up for success. We will discuss nutrition as well as the traditional Chinese medicine approach to self care.

Topics covered:

  • Nutrition needs for each trimester of pregnancy

  • Movement and exercises for pregnancy

  • TCM Traditional Chinese Medicine approach to pregnancy

Class Details: Pregnancy Care & Nutrition is a 90 minute class.
When to take: Any time in your pregnancy depending on availability.
Investment: $50 This includes the pregnant mom and her partner or support person.


Labor 101 & Coping Strategies

Labor and birth are the most anticipated part of a pregnancy. Every pregnancy differs like every birth story. The more you educate yourself, the better you will be able to handle your labor and birth experience. This two hour hands-on class will you teach you about the various comfort measures available to you during birth. We encourage you to bring your support person to this class as this training is as much for them as it is for you, the birthing person. The Labor 101 portion of class discusses what to expect from your body, as well as how to deal with the stages of labor.

Labor 101:

  • pre-labor signs and symptoms and what to expect

  • the three stages of labor

  • what to expect in hospital, birth center and in-home births

  • birth plan options and writing

  • ‘spinning babies’ exercises and guide for baby positioning

Coping Strategies:

  • what techniques work best during each stage of labor

  • things to do and not to do in early labor

  • breathing techniques

  • use of massagers and comfort touch

  • standing, leaning, sitting, kneeling and squatting positions

  • usefulness of labor tools such as the squat bar and birthing/peanut ball

  • Rebozo techniques

  • relaxation and tension release methods

  • benefits of aromatherapy (essentials oils) for labor and delivery

  • acupressure points

  • advantages of hydrotherapy

Newborn Care & Breastfeeding Basics

Your baby will soon be here and what an exciting journey ahead. This class is designed to help you with the most important job you will ever have, as First Time Parents! This class will teach you the practical and essential skills needed for your newborn during the first three months after birth. Expectant parents are encouraged to register for classes early, as space is limited.

These skills include:

  • All the basics of infant care from diapering and bathing

  • Breastfeeding basics and troubleshooting

  • Infant massage

  • Comfort Cues

  • Feeding tips

  • When to call the doctor

  • What to buy for baby

Class Details: Basics of Baby Care is a 1-hour class.
When to take: Any time in your third trimester or earlier, depending on availability.
Investment: $50 This includes the pregnant mom and her partner or support person.


Daddy Bootcamp

This class helps prepare expectant dads for the responsibilities of fathering. It is recommended that class is taken prior to the birth of the baby. Topics to be covered include how to bond with and care for baby, survive the first weeks, support mom and more. Each class will include testimonial from a recent new dad and plenty of time for Q & A!

Class Details: Daddy Bootcamp is a 1-hour class.
When to take: Any time in your third trimester, preferably after Childbirth Prep class.
Investment: $50 This includes the soon to be dad /partner and the mama to be.


Postpartum Mama Care

The three months after birth, often referred to as the fourth trimester is a crucial time for both mama and baby. This class will review common postpartum concerns as well as provide suggestions to help moms recover. Class will review Traditional Chinese Medicine approach to postpartum care with lists of herbs, foods and practices to support the fourth trimester mama. Participants will receive complimentary herbs/salve at the end of class.


Class Details: Postpartum Mama Care is a 90 minute class.
When to take: Any time in your third trimester, preferably after Childbirth Prep class.
Investment: $50 This includes the pregnant mom only.
